In this study, we will see Saul defeated and learn from his mistakes. We will see David have victory over Saul and the bitterness that could have swallowed him up.

In this study, we will see David end one season of battles and move into a new season. God’s people always have work to do and wars to fight.

In this chapter we will see and example of what happens when we seek revenge instead of letting God handle things in His time. Also there is a lesson on being equally yoked in marriage.

We will learn why we don’t want to fight among ourselves as believers and be reminded who the real enemy is.

In this chapter we will see David finally become King over all Israel. We will see his strengths and also weaknesses that we may learn from them.

This chapter really lays out the danger of false teachers. We will learn about the identifying characteristics of false teachers, the judgement of God for their sin, why they do what they do, the deception they are under and how to avoid being ensnared by them.

In this study, we will learn how that David (who was indeed a man after Gods own heart) had a heart to bless the Lord. We will learn the importance and blessing of being people whose hearts are truly with the Lord.

In this study, we will see David intentionally seek out the son of Jonathan that he might show “the kindness of God”. As we see what David did for Mephibosheth (Jonathan’s son) we learn about the kindness of God towards us.

In this study, we will learn how dangerous it can be to judge the motives of others. We want to walk in love like Jesus and not accuse like Satan.

Last week in Ch.11 we saw David sin greatly in a number of ways. Today in Ch.12 we will see the damaging long term results his sin would have. We will also learn about Gods mercy, forgiveness, and faithfulness that goes beyond us.
